Shiny and luminous - that is what the Arabic translation of Zaheera means.  And those attributes are some that Zaheera likes to bring to her dancing passion.

Zaheera is a bellydancer, a professional performer, and a teacher of Middle Eastern dance, also known as raks sharqi, or danse orientale.  Zaheera is based in Springfield, Missouri.

Zaheera has been dancing since 2003 and her thirst for knowledge about this art form has led her to attend many workshops with renowned instructors, both locally and across the Midwest, in Chicago, Fayetteville , Little Rock, and Kansas City, and she has performed at a wide variety of workshops, cultural fairs, and civic events across the region.

As a dancer and a teacher, Zaheera’s dream is to encourage other women to try to embrace their inner dancer, in the hopes that they will continue to grow as both dancers and women.
